Duo Volatus is a recently formed duo composed of myself and classical guitarist Alison Smith. The flute and guitar are a beautiful combination facilitating both the lyrical and energetic; baroque to 20th century. With such diverse material available for this combination we have compiled an exciting repertoire including a piece arranged especially for us by local composer Philip Buttall. Duo Volatus have played a variety of events so far including a series of concerts organised in Spring/Summer 2009. More concerts planned in the new year.
